• Welcome!

I am a momma, a natural light photographer and lover of black and white photography.

I accept a limited number of clients and all sessions are on-location. My service area is in Scottsville Kentucky and also the South Central Kentucky area (Franklin, Bowling Green, Glasglow, Russlleville) and Northern Middle Tennessee (Gallatin, Hendersonville, White House, Portland, Cross-Plains, Westmoreland).

If you live outside these areas or are interested in booking a session please contact me by clicking here.

I’m joining several other photographers to do a Christmas count down with their children or other family members. Our projects can be anything from fun crafts, to donating our time helping others during the Christmas season. I chose to have my son prepare a box for Operation Christmas Child. We went to a couple of stores and he picked out toys and some candy. Then, we came home and I helped him wrap the box and he packed the goodies. These images were taken in November since the donation date was the week before Thanksgiving. We had lots of fun and it was nice to help put a smile on a child’s face this season, even if we don’t know the child. And, I hope my son is learning Christmas is about more than Santa coming for a visit!

If you are interested, here’s is my Pinterest Board for some of our craft ideas for the count down.

As always, please check out these fabulous ladies’ website if you have a chance! 🙂

IMG_1530fbHappy Thanksgiving everyone!!! I’m sitting at my mother-in-laws, enjoying time with family, looking through sales ads, and reflecting on how thankful I am for things in my life. I took this image yesterday of my kids and husband cooking dishes for today’s meal. He posted a similar image on his Facebook page and worded his thankfulness so much better than I ever can. But, this image has so many things that are important to me. We are spending our Thanksgiving break at our farmhouse in Kentucky. The house is small, kitchen is not large enough for all of our things, but is big enough to make memories for our children. I pray they enjoy their time here, in Kentucky, to run and play, to be with cousins, to spend the night with their grandparents, to take care of the farm animals and many other fun things. But, more than anything I hope they hold tight to the memories they are making today and share the memories in years to come.

And, if you have a few minutes to check out the following websites, please do so. These are a wonderful group of girls I have teamed up with. The are so inspiring and encouraging and I am thankful to call them my friends.

Every morning I drop my son off at school; my daughter and I head home. While I do various chores around the house, my daughter drags out books, puzzles, etc. from the media cabinet. She sits by herself and plays, which is refreshing for me as her brother would have NEVER played alone at her age. I’m able to get several things accomplished and she’s having fun and learning. Every now and then she will take a break from her education play and watch a cartoon. On this particular day, Olivia was her cartoon of choice. She LOVES pigs! This is her morning routine. 🙂

Annie - Beautiful Betsy! What a great storytelling series!ReplyCancel

A few weeks ago I completed a lifestyle workshop. I met a great group of women and we decided to continue our friendships and encourage each other’s growth in photography. We created a blog group and this is our first week. I’d love for you to check out their blog pages; give them some love and encouragement. (links are below.)

This post is from last weekend when we were at our farmhouse in Kentucky. We had all been sick with the stomach bug and got outside for a brief moment for some fresh air. I had gotten a new lens, Lensbaby Composer Pro with the double glass. So, I decided to take my new love out with us and test it out. Let me just say looking through this creative lens, with all its blur, plus being sick was not the best idea. I think i was out a total of 30 minutes until I couldn’t take anymore! 🙂 These images are random but show how we relax on the weekends, away from city life. Enjoy!

I’ve got to get better with blogging. Here are a few images from vacation, a few months ago. We stopped for ice cream. Up until this point, my daughter would eat ice cream. On this day she decided she didn’t like it anymore and only wanted to play and rub it all over her body.  And, I’ve thrown in the one and only image my son would let me take.  I just love that glare!  hehehe  🙂
